Getting started
What is ScanStock?
ScanStock helps you organise belongings into Storage Areas and Containers so you can find anything quickly. You can scan QR codes on containers to share contents with family or movers.
How do I add my first item?
Create a Storage Area (like a room), then a Container inside it (like a box), then add Items. Items can be added by typing, photo, or voice.
Trial and subscriptions
How long is the free trial?
New accounts receive a 7-day trial with full Premium access — all features, highest limits. No credit card required.
What happens after the trial ends?
You will choose a subscription tier (Basic, Pro, or Premium). Your data remains preserved regardless of your selection.
Can I change tiers later?
Yes, through Settings → Subscription. Upgrades activate immediately; downgrades take effect at renewal.
Photos, videos, and limits
Why cannot I add another photo?
Each tier has monthly photo limits (Basic 20, Pro 60, Premium 150). The counter resets monthly. Removing photos before month-end restores slots.
What does "Monthly limit reached" mean?
Your tier caps write operations monthly. When reached, you can wait for the next month, request a quota increase, or upgrade.
Sharing and QR codes
How do I share a container?
Open the container, tap share, and choose by user, access label, or QR code. Only containers can be shared, not Storage Areas.
Someone scanned my QR but got "Access Denied" — why?
The container's QR access mode is set to "label only" or "closed". Change it to "open" in Share Settings if you want unrestricted scanning access.
Sync and offline
Why does the app show "Sync failed"?
Offline changes could not sync — usually due to tier limits or items deleted elsewhere. Review and discard failed changes via the banner.
Does ScanStock work offline?
Yes. You can browse, search, and edit without internet; changes sync automatically upon reconnection.
Account and privacy
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings → Profile → Delete Account. Data is retained for 30 days before permanent deletion; you can cancel within that window.
How do I export my data?
Access Settings → Privacy → Export My Data. You will receive a ZIP file with all your items, containers, and links to your photos and videos.
